CM Bell was a famous photographer working in Washington, DC in the 1880s-1900s. He photographed US Presidents, Native American leaders, well-known citizens such as Alexander Graham Bell and Hellen Keller, in addition to a series of African American ministers from the area. 

This subject has not been identified by name but the Library of Congress archives have all the log books from the C.M. Bell Studio. 

The cardstock is damaged around the edges but will still frame well. The photograph measures 16" x 13" and the card stock measures 22" x 18"
