$445.00
In addition to refined French Art Deco style, this globe offers an important political moment in time ,it documents the 38th parallel in Korea. The parallel was chosen to be the physical dividing point of the country, separated into a dictatorship in the north and a western styled democracy in the south. An exquisitely rare map, capturing a specific moment in time. Combining form and function at its best, the artifact is indeed also a splendid piece of art. The perfectly aged patina of the map offers the perfect contrast to a polished metal meridian and cool deco base. When illuminated, the light of globe provides an enchanting ambiance. Diameter of this object d'art is about 7 inches with a total height of 12 inches. Very well maintained.
