The clean streamline, “aero-dynamic” design features of the mounting resembles a bullet train or airplane cockpit. This fine piece is a favorite among Art Deco as well as Machine Age style collectors. The chrome finish combined with the black oceans provides a dramatic display in any setting! The orb is made of pasteboard and sits within a single piece cast iron mounting with half meridian, finished in chrome. Total height of this globe is 13 inches, total width including mounting is 11.5”. In very good condition with little wear to the map. Colors are vivid, details crisp. The mounting is in good condition, showing minor pitting to the chrome.
