The rich wood and perfectly aged patina of the map add elegance to this Globe. Fine details of the mapping documenting the early WW2 era ensures for hours of interesting studies. Note the display of Italian East Africa, a colony existing for only a few years (1936-41). Germany has annexed Austria and occupied Czechoslovakia, now shown as part of the German Empire. Part of China is shown to be under Japanese Mandate (1932-45). The orb has a diameter of 12 inches and a total height of approximately 17 inches. Well maintained with minor scuffing.
