This is a one-of-a-kind copy of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Bantam Books released the first mass produced paperback copy of the Jazz Age story in November 1945. That alone would make the book a great find, but in addition to that, it has been bound in a custom leather and cloth pattern. The handsome book would be the perfect piece for a fan of Fitzgerald or American Literature. 

The note tucked into the back of the book reads: 

Dear Fred, 

Happy Birthday. Of all the books I ever bound this one has the fewest mistakes. But "fewest" is relative.
