The map on this J. Chein globe bank shows the world just before the Great Depression. Persia (1935), and Central Australia (1926-31) Russia dual listed as USSR (changed in 1926) help focus in the age range of the globe. J.Chein, who manufactured this model, was mostly known for their variety of tin toys.
The orb is made of hollow spun tin with a lithographed map. It sits on a faux wood grain base. Diameter of the orb is about 4 inches with a total height (including base) of 6 inches. The globe is in good condition with just a few minor dings and surface rust; colors are brilliant, details crisp. The plug at the bottom is present.
