The sphere is mounted into a full meridian made of metal and finished in a matte gold. The base is also made of metal and cradle style, which allows the globe to be removed. The horizon band (part of the base) is also metal with a paper laminate; it identifies the calendar as well as zodiacal information. Total height is 17 inches with a diameter of 12 inches of the globe itself, total diameter incl. horizon ring of about 16 inches. This Globe is in good condition, colors are vivid and details are crisp! There is some minor wear in form of wrinkles, soiling and scuff-marks.
