Cram's Illuminated World Globe; Tan Base
Cram's Illuminated World Globe; Tan Base
This is one of the smaller glass globes Cram’s ever made but commands a big presence in any collection! The 8” glass orb sits atop a copper colored base and is topped with a clear marble.
Based upon post-WWII borders, this particular globe dates to 1949-50 as Pakistan (1946) is visible and both Palestine and Israel (1948) are joint listed. French Indo-China (1954) has not yet been broken up.
The Globe is in very good condition for its age. There is one pinhole in the map near Saudi Arabia and scuff marks in the the Pacific Ocean. The colors are rich, details crisp, and the light is warm and inviting. Please see pictures. The base is in good condition with no pitting or rusting. A new twisted cloth cord has been added with a vintage style plug.
